Mobile gaming revolution...not

I think it's safe to say that after seeing the reports of pre order numbers of the PS4 and Xbox One, that the onset of the mobile gaming revolution has been highly overrated.  What I am talking about are those ridiculous articles I have been seeing recently that promote the idea that mobile games will somehow supplant game consoles as the core gaming experience.  Articles like this are usually written by mis-informed old farts who have been far removed from having a console.  Now granted, I find myself with less and less time to game with the added responsibilities that come with having a child.  I do not however, find myself looking to mobile gaming as an alternative.  Touchscreen controls just do not take the place of a game controller and my big ass TV.  Hopefully the misinformed mainstream news outlets perpetuating this drivel will start educating themselves and do some actual game reporting.
