Some PS3 Shortcomings

Ever since I rebelled against Xbox and its ridiculous gold membership, I have been using my PS3 as my living room entertainment box. I have found a few flaws however in this, my first real extensive use of Sony's system. Random system freezing and dropped connections while streaming video really stick out. I'm hoping that these are ironed out in the ps4. Maybe Plex integration would help. I want Sony to go all the way with making its system a true media server. It is something I will factor in when deciding how soon I will buy a new console. That and when a new Fallout or Elder Scrolls game comes out.
