MSNBC Homepage Revelations

Going through Google Reader this morning and tweeting links to posts of interest, I came across a tweet from msnbc. I noticed I had not subscribed to a feed from them I decided to head to the site to do it. I didn't find an rss link but I did come across msnbc's homepage and wasn't too happy with what I saw.  The homepage is comprised of icons from each show on the network with the name of each show and the face of  who is hosting it.  That is pretty disturbing to me.  They are not putting the news up front but instead the personalities are the main draw.  I don't need my news to be filtered through some host.  It's pretty sad that an entire viewership tune in to msnbc not for the news but to hear this host or that host interpret the news for them.  I guess that this has always been the case with talk radio or tv shows but I really have never seen it so up front and blatant.  This is supposed to be a news network, right?  All I see are individual opinions and it's scary.
